Guided by a vision to deepen the bonds of global understanding, nurture the exchange of talents across borders, and illuminate China’s story on the world stage, Beijing Talent Technology Co., Ltd. collaborates with relevant entities proudly unveils its thematic series, “China in the Eyes of Foreigners”. This endeavor seeks to bridge hearts and minds, inviting the world to see China through the lens of shared wisdom and collaboration.

The details of the event are as follows:

I. Event Timeline

III. Target Participants

This event is open to international friends both within China and abroad, including foreign experts, students, and professionals.


IV. Participation Guidelines

We invite submissions that reflect real-life experiences, capture the spirit of the times, and highlight meaningful international friendships. We welcome a wide range of formats, including essays, photography, paintings, calligraphy, and videos. Specific requirements for each category are outlined below:

(1) Essay Submissions

1. "My Experiences with International Friends" essay exhibition activity.

Eligibility: Open to individuals in China who have meaningful interactions with international friends.

Theme: Personal stories highlighting heartfelt friendships with international peers.

Format: Preferably written in Chinese; Word count: 1,000–3,000 words; Include 1–3 high-definition images with captions.

2. "China in the Eyes of Foreigners" Essay Exhibition

Eligibility: Open to international participants worldwide.

Theme: Focus on topics such as work, life, science and technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Format: Preferably written in English; Word count: 1,000–3,000 words; Include 1–3 high-definition images with captions.

3. "China in the Eyes of Foreigners" Photography, Painting, and Calligraphy Submissions

Eligibility: Open to international participants worldwide.

Theme: Depictions of life and work in China, contributions to China’s economic and social development, educational and technological advancements, cultural prosperity, personnel training, and modernization in various fields. The work should highlight unique aspects of China such as its landscapes, culture, vibrant cities, green ecology, red sites, unforgettable cuisine, beautiful countryside, and cutting-edge science and technology.

Format:

(1)Photography: Submit 3–5 original photos (single or group). Photos must be at least 3 MB each and in JPG format. Include a 100-word description in English, along with 1–2 photos of the author and a 100-word author bio.

(2)Paintings and Calligraphy: Submit original works in traditional Chinese painting, oil painting, watercolor, gouache, prints, sketches, or other forms. If submitted as digital files, they must be clear and high-quality (over 5MB, in JPG format) with no distortions, shadows, or tilts. Each work should include a 100-word English description and 1-2 photos of the author, along with a brief 100-word introduction to the author.

4. "China in the Eyes of Foreigners" Micro-Video Collection and Exhibition

Eligibility: Open to international participants worldwide.

Theme: Highlighting the beauty of China through its campuses, cities, villages, landscapes, cuisine, people, and other unique aspects, as experienced by international friends.

Form: Videos should include both Chinese and English subtitles and have a runtime of approximately 3 minutes. Videos can be recorded using a professional camera or a mobile phone (horizontal orientation recommended) with a resolution of at least 1920 × 1080 pixels. The video must be clear, creative, and visually appealing, with no restrictions on the setting. Watermarks should not be added. Each submission must include a brief written description (around 100 words) outlining the background and creative intent of the video. Both Chinese and English subtitles must accompany the video.

(2) Copyright Requirements

1. Submissions for essays, photography, paintings, and calligraphy must be the original work of the author and should not have been published on any public platform. Submissions must not involve plagiarism or violate any applicable Chinese laws or regulations. The event organizer reserves the right to edit, publish, and feature the submitted works across various media platforms, including newspapers, magazines, books, and online channels. By submitting paintings and calligraphy, participants grant the organizer full ownership of the original works. Please note that original pieces will not be returned to the participants.

2. All video submissions must be the original work of the author. By submitting a video, the author grants the organizer the right to edit, promote, and use the work, including any depictions of individuals in the video. The author retains full copyright over the video. However, if the work violates any copyrights, portrait rights, or other relevant laws, the author will assume full legal responsibility.

(3) Submission Requirements

All participants are required to complete the appropriate forms: the Registration Form for Essay Works, the Registration Form for Photography and Painting or Calligraphy Works, and the Registration Form for Micro-Video Works. Please submit the completed form along with your entry to the email address: view@WorkinChina.org.cn. If the video file is too large to attach, please upload it to Baidu Cloud Disk and send the download link via email. Incomplete or missing registration forms will result in the entry being deemed invalid.


V. Event Schedule

The event will take place from January 2025 to December 2025, divided into four stages:

(1) Event Launch – January 2025

The event announcement will be published on the official website and WeChat public platform.

(2) Submission and Exhibition of Works – From January 2025 to September 2025

The deadline for submitting works is September 30, 2025. Selected essays, photography, calligraphy, painting, and video works will be displayed on the event website and WeChat public platform. Prominent works will also be recommended for publication in International Talent magazine, as well as in China Daily, People’s Daily Overseas Edition, Science and Technology Daily, and other media outlets.

(3) Selection Process – October 2025-November 2025

The evaluation process will include a preliminary review, online voting, and expert assessments. The organizer will form an expert panel, comprising international exchange professionals, scholars, and specialists, to conduct the review.

All entries (essays, photography, calligraphy, painting, and video works) will be showcased online for voting. Online voting will contribute 40% to the final score, while expert evaluations will account for 60%. The final results will determine the winning essays, photography, calligraphy, painting works, and outstanding video submissions.

(4) Award Announcement – December 2025

The award-winning works will be published on the event website and related WeChat public platforms, with recognition given to essays, photography, calligraphy, painting, and video categories.


VI. Award Categories

(1) Individual Awards for Essays, Photography, and Calligraphy & Painting

Submissions will be evaluated by the organizing committee, and outstanding essays, photographs, and calligraphy & painting works will be recognized with honorary certificates. Prizes are as follows: 1 First Prize: RMB 1,000 or an equivalent prize;4 Second Prizes: RMB 500 or equivalent prizes;10 Third Prizes: RMB 200 or equivalent prizes; and Several Excellence Awards

Outstanding works may be recommended for publication in International Talent magazine or displayed on the WeChat public platform. Authors of works accepted by the magazine will receive remuneration and a copy of International Talent. Additionally, exceptional entries will be selected for inclusion in a Photo Album, and a photo exhibition showcasing these works will be organized at a later date.

(2) Outstanding Micro-Video Works

Certificates of excellence will be awarded for outstanding micro-video works. These works may also be featured on platforms such as the WeChat official account of International Talent magazine, the WorldSpeaking,and other platforms.Additionally, a copy of International Talent magazine will be provided as a gift.

(3) Outstanding Organizational Units

Honorary certificates will be issued to exceptional organizational units. If the works recommended by these units are published in International Talent magazine, the units will receive complimentary access to the magazine. They will also be given priority to participate in inspection and exchange activities organized by relevant institutions, fostering international collaboration and exchanges.
